While the Head Cat is away, the Powell Observatory Elves should play, er, work.

Yes, the observatory dome still needs some lovin'.

I intend to be at Powell at 1100 on Sunday, 16Feb, for at least four hours. There are two remaining areas of the top-sill around the dome that need replaced, and final re-installation of wall panels, then installing the trim for the red rope lights.

If there's enough help, I hope to get the telescope computer moved into the classroom -- we'll have to run longer optical fiber from the pier, and run some Cat-6 from the class-room to the closet to enable remote placement of the monitor, keyboard, mouse, and reset button and power indicator.

Please let me know if you can assist.

Thanks,
Jason Forst
