That money will be used for costs involved in actually creating a facility. That includes, land acquisition, engineering and designing a new facility, building it, building a road to get to it, bringing in utilities, and the cost of professional find raising money.

At the June General Meeting we learned of a $3.5-million plan to relocate Powell Observatory to land generously offered to us by the Cedar Cove Feline Conservatory. That prompted me to ask myself about the Powell Observatory Relocation Fund whose progress towards its $60,000 goal is reported in the Cosmic Messenger. What does the $60,000 cover?
